Named for the marque's 40th anniversary in 1987, the F40 was the last car to receive Enzo's personal blessing before his death the following year. It was conceived as a race car for the road, and it never pretended to be anything else.
A twin-turbocharged V8, a lightweight composite body and almost nothing else. No power windows, no luxuries, door pulls in place of handles. It was the first production car to break 200 mph, with a top speed of 201 mph.
Decades on, it is still the reference point for raw, analog performance. A car that asks everything of its driver and gives everything back.
Part of the Icons in Motion collection: a tribute to the cars whose design, engineering and character left a lasting mark on automotive culture.
