The 993 was the last of the air-cooled 911s, and for many the most beautiful ever made. Its smoother, wider bodywork and sleek headlights softened the classic shape without losing any of its character.

Underneath, a redesigned multi-link rear suspension sharpened the 911's handling, and twin-turbo and all-wheel-drive versions pushed its performance further than ever. When production ended in 1998, the air-cooled era ended with it.

That is exactly why the 993 has become so revered. It was the final, most refined chapter of the air-cooled story, the bridge between the classic 911 and everything that came after.
